Statement

A painter in acrylics, my name is Susan Holmes Foor. Art has been my life, from early childhood, through college, in my 30-year teaching career, and finally, now that I have time to paint in retirement, art remains my life. In college, I was told by my New York MFA instructor, that I am an artist, a 2-D artist, and that my style is what may be described as a ‘roll-in-the-dirt’ variety akin to pre-impressionism. To this day, I agree with her, and I love painting my endless found subjects, especially animals, flowers, and the Grand Canyon.
